San Francisco Dahlia Pendant

From my Concept Collection my “San Francisco Dahlia” is made using an art metal of sterling and copper mokume gane. I was inspired by the life in San Francisco when I first created this dahlia. This city symbolizes diversity and tolerance. I chose a metal that brings together precious (sterling silver) and non-precious (copper) metals with strong contrast in color and perceived value to represent this diversity. Together, the two metals weave a beautiful pattern, much like the fabric that comprises the San Francisco life. The dahlia is also the official bloom of the city.
